2012 Memory Keeping Projects – P365 with Instagram and Project Life
This is the time of year when I start to think seriously about my scrapbooking projects for the next year. While I have a few that need to be finished (including scrapbooking P365 for 2010 and Father’s Day 2011) … I am thinking about 2012.
For next year I am thinking about 2 projects … Project 365 with Instagram and Project Life
P365 with Instagram
I am a big fan of Project 365. I completed … well at least taking all of the photos for Project 365 in 2010 (I have a previous post more on what is Project 365 here or all of my posts here). It was alot of fun and I only missed 6 days from the whole year. I love it because it is a awesome way to look at the year in a single snapshot … to see how the kids changed over the year and what we got up to. I wanted to do it again this year … but it takes alot of thought and discipline .. especially to remember to have the camera with you all the time.
But I have been thinking is that I always have my phone with me … and I am addicted to taking pictures with Instagram. So maybe for 2012 I should do a P365 with Instagram. This time I won’t put any rules on myself (in 2010 I had the rule that I wanted 1 photo of each of the kids each day) … except ‘trying’ to take 1 photo a day with Instagram (or at least editing it with Instagram). (for more on How I plan on doing Project 365 with Instagram)
Project Life
This IS going to be my big project for 2012. What I have asked for Christmas is a ‘starter’s pack’ of things from Project Life. I can’t wait. I think this is going to be the perfect thing for me. I will be able to bring together my digital scrapbooking and traditional scrapbooking without it having to be as complicated (or as expensive) as hybrid.
I am really looking foward to it. I think part of my problem is that while I love digital scrapbooking I like to put together an album. But doing an album as a single project is alot of work … and therefore can sometimes be just too big a project. I need to have lots of little things I can do and feel that I have accomplished something. I think this is where Project Life will be good. I am not going to think about it as a album but just a collection of pages .. I am really looking forward to it …
Do you have a memory keeping project planned for 2012? Have you done P365 … what are you thoughts? Have you done Project Life?
