For the last few weeks I have been participating in Maxabella’s Loves … I’m Grateful for bloghop. I think that it is a brilliant idea and I hope to continue to use one post a week to share with everything things I am grateful for. Sometimes I think in the mess of everything that sometimes it is easy to forget to be grateful for so many of our blessings and the people who help s get through our everyday lives. I have also found some great enjoyment in reading some of the posts from other participants. I would recommend the read.
For this week I am grateful for our Therapists and Teachers that help us with LittleMan’s therapy and help him learn, play and develop. We are fortunate that we have an amazing team made up of professionals from the Lizard Centre (Superviors/Psychologist, Senior Behaviour Therapist & Speech Therapist), Junior Therapists (studying psychology and occupation therapy at university) that do the lion share of the hours that provide LittleMan will his ABA therapy. They are a wonderful group of people that work really hard over many hours to get the hard won gains that have been made over the last year and a bit.I am grateful for all the work that they do, the passion in which they do it and the way that they care about LittleMan and helping him achieve the best he can.
Additionally we are very lucky that both LittleMan and LittleMiss both attend a childcare centre where their care and compassion is only matched by their educational excellence. We are so lucky that they are at this centre. All the staff there do so much to help them both participate and contribute to their little community. They are all so great … and in particular, LittleMan is very forunate to have a wonderful teacher/aide that helps him particpate in the community. She has just been amazing and it is obvious how much LittleMan adores him. I could talk for hours about how wonderful the centre is. I am grateful for all the work that the team does at the childcare centre for all of the children … however I am and will forever be grateful for how welcoming they have been for our family and how open they have been to be a participant in Marcello’s care … and respect him as a little person that just needs abit more help.
